Ferghal – Furstenball / EM Contucci / Bordeaux / Weltmeyer, June 20, 2019

I am totally smitten with this engaging, tall, black, typey charmer – an outstanding Furstenball son who already looks a top prospect for competition — and perhaps even for breeding.

This lad is very much stamped by his sire, with the same charisma, beautiful front-end, uphill frame, long legs and light-footed but well-powered movement. Furstenball was Champion of his Licensing and Stallion Performance Test – with a sensational 154.98 points in the dressage index (16 x 9.0 and better, as well as 10.0 for rideability) and Champion of the five-year-old Bundeschampionate in 2011. Prior to that he was Oldenburg Regional Champion with a mark of 9.1. Successful to FEI Prix St Georges, Furstenball was named a VTV Dressage Stallion, in recognition of his own success and the success of his progeny.

Dam “Chenya” is a well-bred Elite Mare from the Maple Run Farm breeding programme, who has had numerous Inspection Site Winners, Elite Mare Daughters and – in the person of Ferghal’s full sibling– the Top Filly, and Top Ten Foal 2017 for Canada prizewinner Furstentanz.
SOLD – to a wonderful home in South Carolina where he will join a small herd of other SunnyDays alumni.
