Welcome to Sunny Days Hanoverians Website!

We breed German warmblood sport-horses at Sunny Days Hanoverians  – a centuries old fifty acre farm situated in the Kendal Hills just seventy kilometres east of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Green, windy fields, woods and wildflowers in the warm summers and startlingly white and frosty winters. We have deer and timberwolves, and, always wondrous to me, a small band of Hanoverian mares and youngsters.

Mares and Foals 07

I select my mares, and the stallions to whom I breed them, for temperament, rideability, and beauty of movement. I handle all my girls and babies daily, so it is paramount that they be gentle and well mannered.

I am fortunate to have developed some wonderful contacts in Germany; I stay in touch with fellow breeders in North America; and I have developed a delightful circle of horse-crazy friends through riding, through my son and daughter, and through the people who have visited here to play with and purchase my babies. So, because of my horses, and through the people who love and cherish horses, I am continually presented with new learning opportunities!

On these few web-pages, there are pictures of the people and animals who share, or have shared, Sunny Days Hanoverians with me. On the “News” page you’ll find occasional notes on what’s happening with my horses and my family, and references to the horsepeople who have taken  my babies to live with them.

If you are interested in learning more about any of my sale foals or horses, it is safer to call, as, unfortunately, I find that some emails go astray – filtered out, or being systematized as “trash”. I apologize for any emails to which I have not responded, but through experience I’ve learned that they occasionally do not reach me.
